Hello everyone,
I've had the same problem that just appeared tonight. After upgrading to adobe flashplayer 9, downloading and using the flashplayer 9 debugger, doing a system restore back to a week ago, messing with my firewall and security settings (and returning them back to what they were because that didn't make a difference), and deleting cookies and clearing my internet history, I still had no luck.
Then I deleted the files in "temporary internet files", including all offline content, and that fixed the issue.
Back to normal!
How I did it in case you don't know how, just follow this path:
control panel>internet options>tempora ry internet files>delete files (and all offline content....I don't know if checking this box made a difference, but I checked it)
I hope this helps someone!!Comment

You are a star! This finally worked for me.
Had no YouTube working for about a month now, and finally it's running!
I'd tried EVERYTHING mentioned above, all of which didn't work for me, unyet this simple route did! Crazy considering I run a programme called 'CCleaner' that is specifically aimed at clearing up internet files..LOL
So I can now enjoy YouTube! thanks again.
Paddy.
P.S YouTube is now running on IE , but not Firefox..ahh well not a massive issue!Comment

Well, nothing has worked for me, of course. I do NOT have Norton Security, I redownloaded flash player, I checked up on my javascript, I got the debugger, I removed my firewall and ad/pop-up blockers (did nothing, so I put all of that right back on), deleted my cookies, tried the temporary internet files lift thing, and I'm pretty sure I tried some other things too, none of which works.
That goes without saying that the ctrl+F5 didn't working, either. Such a wonderfully simple solution. Of course that wouldn't work for me. Gah.
Anyway, the debugger did, in a sense, work. That definitely helped me the most, because now I'm at least able to watch youtube vids with my IE. There's always that. So, yay!
Unfortunately, I don't like IE. I use Mozilla. And Mozilla is what I want to keep using. PLEEEEEEEEASE! Somebody! Help! I'll try more later, but right now, after hours, I'm exhausted. I'm going to bed!Comment

Youtube was fine until 2 months ago. I tried the control refresh and control f5. Worked twice. I tried everything mentioned in this forum. Nothing works. One odd thing. I can still view the videos I had saved to a playlist at youtube by turning off Norton. Also, I can play a youtube video embedded on another web site. I have installed, reinstalled flash several times. Installed and tried Firefox. Enabled, disabled, enabled Javascript. The list goes on and it's a wonder my computer hasn't crashed from my frustration. Youtube is becoming less attractive but still a challenge. I have Windows XP. I'm sure some brilliant person will come up with an answer and save us!Comment
