Registering ocx files

I'm using an up-down control in my project..I've created an exe of it,placed the necessary ocx in its app.path.The exe runs fine in Windows XP,but Win Vista produces an error "OCX not registered properly"..
How do i register an ocx file properly?

Just copy and paste your OCX file in system32 folder.
I have tried one more thing that if the ocx file is placed in app directory along .vbp file vb6 automatically register the ocx.

And if you want to register ocx programatically u need some code... Do you?

VB6 automatically registers the ocx in Win Xp and not in Win Vista.
