Dear VB specialist,
I need your help for my problem. I wanna get data from our measurement tool called Data Transmission Analyzer from Anritsu company. The model is MD6420A. I want to retrieve it and write to my laptop using GPIB-USB cable from National Instrument under VB6 application.
My questions:
1. I read some VB6 books related to GPIB comm and measurement tools. But unfortunately different product will be different required module (.BAS file) and of course the DLL for linking under windows platform.
Until now I couldn't find the product driver or .BAS module (even I registered to the anritsu homepage to get it). However, I got the manual of such product in which the sample program to remote such tool by QuickBASIC under DOS.
Is is possible to program and communicate with such measurement tool using VB6 based on QuickBASIC program without .BAS file?
For your information, GPIB-USB cable that I'll be used, has a driver which probably has DLL called gpib-32.dll
2. Do you have any experience with another measurement tool to connect with a PC using GPIB connector?
