Is it possible for me to open a *.txt file and get a string from it without displaying it in the form? I mean I need to use some characters in the string as a source to compare it with a defined characters in my program. I am using a hardware which automatically updates its text file (like a log file). Can anyone help me with this? My visual basic is version 6.
