    Hi

I'm sure others will come up with a more definitive definition, but to me the main differences are

Compared to a User Defined Type

    1) Classes can have read-only and write-only properties
    2) to achieve 1), amongst other things, they (can) have internal (private) subs and functions.
    3) can be used in other classes without declaring them as global
    4) but above all they can have methods.

This may be a little brief (as is your question!), but I'm not sure where you are at or your intentions, but hope this helps. Please ask if more clarification is needed, someone will know if I don't!

Your question is too much theoritical and is beyond the scope of this discussion. Please follow any good book for the same or you can find a lot of them by investing some time in websearching. Also check in the Howto section of VB in this forum for some very good tutorials.
