    can somebody help me out

    Hello,
I'm Adisco. Can somebody tell me how to start, because I want to learn Visual Basic. I'm a student in Sierra Leone studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering. I'm really interested in IT stuff.

        Hi Adisco.
This is the best place to learn VB perfectly by putting questions.
        Books can't help you.
        Discussing is the best way.

Adisco, I'd suggest you look around on the web for VB tutorials. TheScripts may be some help, but we are really more oriented toward helping developers who run into problems in their code, rather than teaching new starters. Of course, you may get lucky, it depends on who is around at the time and what mood they're in, I guess. :-)

techie2, I have to say, "Books can't help you" is a rather silly generalisation. Some people find books the ideal way to learn, some find them totally useless, and many people are somewhere in between the extremes. Just because you don't like learning from a book doesn't mean nobody else can.
