    Using CommonDialog in V.B 6 to open a text File

    Good day I'm a new beg in vb, just laying my hands on some things but i have this challenge, i want a code that will show me a full detail on how to go about it using the fileSystemOpen and textstream pls. and how to declared it in the option explicit.

    Kindly go through some good books for the purpose . Before asking for code here you need to post the code that you have tried so far to solve the problem .

        Compliments of the day ALI, thanks for offering to assist, I dont know much about file systems, Cos what i intend doing is conncecting the sqlserver Database, then once the command button is clicked, you then load textfiles into it, and once its finished loading, a message box displays "Loaded Successfully".
