Hi ,

Can anybody guide me to develop an application (EXE) - When I click a button it should result in going to a Reporting Website and open a link (Excel sheet) on a particular path and copy data from the Excel sheet and paste it in another excel sheet on an FTP location. Please guide me with regards to the Approach and the Coding to be used.

You can create an Iexplorer or an Excel application object and of course read data from each and paste it into another, what im not sure about is that you'll be able to save it into the ftp location.

You didnt mention what version of vb you're using, but this might help in most versions.
this code will open a website:

obj1.visible=tr ue

This will open an excel workbook from any location.

[CODE=vb]dim obj2 as object
set obj2 = createobject("e xcel.applicatio n")
obj2.visible=tr ue
obj2.workbooks. open("http://www.myserver.co m/book1.xls")[/CODE]
then open the other one, the same way with other name (lets say Obj3)

to pass information to one to other just do something like

obj2.range("A2: A4").copy
obj3.range("A2" ).pastespecial -4163
