control panel with links to other pages

hello

A friend of mine recently created a control on a pc desktop using visual basic 6. What i want to know is how to create an icon and link it to another application on your pc. Applications such as microsoft word , excel etc.
I also noticed that he touched the icon on the screen to activate it with a beep and open up another application. I think that the application he was using was to do with stock control and pricing .

Hi,

Is it that you have got confused with "Touch Screen"....?
For that you dont have to create any Application, Touch the Screen and it just acts as a Mouse Click..

Not sure, if you are looking for something else..
