    Hi all, i'm using data report designer in vb6 to generate report...
    in connection 1 theres command and to list all the data wanted i use sql command as follows:
    Select * from Item_Stock where item_name = "XXXX" order by Date_purchase

    the problem is, can i replace the "XXXX" with and input from a textbox from a form?

    its simple
    Select * from Item_Stock where item_name = '" & txtItemNo.Text & "' order by Date_purchase

    simply put ur txtfield name in ' " & txtname.text & " '

      hmm.. where should i paste the code.. at the moment i paste it at the command property .. but it returns blank.. i've run in sql builder it returns the same..

            This may not be what you want but you can have your report without doing any coding:



            Give it a whirl anyway to have another option...
