THESIS on traffic simulation. (need help.)

I'm having my thesis on traffic simulation and my group and I decided to use
VB 6.0 The problem now is that I'm really not good at programming and I'm quite new to VB.

So the scenario is typically like this:
There is a map. The user would have to input a number of vehicles that would be coming from different entry points. When the user clicks START, the vehicles would move and the traffic lights would have to determine, based on the quantity, which lane should GO and STOP.

I would really appreciate it if someone would give me help regarding this.
I'm really desperate. Please. Thank you.

At the moment, I have "scraps" of codes which I intend to integrate but I don't
think I know how. Can someone give me sample codes which can help me? Thanks a lot.

Hi Kent, i think you should read first the posting guidelines, there're some tips about posting Homeworks here.

Anyway if you have some specific doubts we'll be glad to help you.

I'll save some time by pasting in the standard response from the guidelines...

The experts on this site are more than happy to help you with your problems but they cannot do your assignment/program for you. Attempt the assignment/program yourself first and post questions regarding any difficulties you have or about a particular function of the code that you don't know how to achieve.

Please read the Posting Guidelines and particularly the Coursework Posting Guidelines.

Then when you are ready post a new question in this thread.
