Microsoft Date and Time Picker 6.0

    Hi,

Ive placed the microsoft date and time picker into my excel spreadsheet. ive set the height to 15 in the properties box. However every time I open up the workbook the date box expands to around a height of 75 although the properties box still reads 15. Any body have any ideas with whats going on?

    Thanks

    Manny

Not sure how, But I managed to get microsoft date and time picker 6 onto my speadsheet. I resized it and changed the font size so the date box could be place within a cell (Cell Height =23 pixles). I saved the work book and exited the design mode. Everything at this point seems fine. When I close the workbook and reopen it the Size of the date box expands over 4 rows. Theres no change in text size just the size of the box.

Now if i go into design mode and move the date box slightly, the size changes to what it should be, and works fine when I exit design mode.

I cant work out why by moving the box it re-sizes itslef to what it should be.

Are you using Exel inside VB (Bind Ocx)?

just set the property of Height and width of the DTPicker and again in the form load event.

Not sure what you mean but im using excel 2003 and running VB from there.

I have set the height and width to what I want. When i open the workbook and check the properties, the height and width are as they should be, thbox being displayed is not at those values untill i move the box

I think that Maninder has an Excel 2003 spreadsheet and has added a Microsoft Date an Time Picker Control from the Control Toolbox, More Controls button and is using VBA.

However, I cannot get this to happen to me: it stays at a height of 15 for me, but I have seen stranger things happen with large Excel workbooks.
Since you said that moving the control fixed the problem, first try setting the height progamatically in the Workbook Open event. If that doesn't work, then in the Open event try moving it programatically , DoEvents, and then move it back. HTH --Sam
