Missing 'Data Environment'

    Missing 'Data Environment'

    Hi

    I am trying to find 'Add Data Environment' on the Project menu. But it seems to be missing. I have VB Studio 6 professional edition. Is this one of the versions that doesn't have the Data Enviroment please? Or has it not been installed - and if so, any idea where I'll find it please?

      Hello, radiostarchild!

      Have you tried Project, Add Data Environment in your menu bar. Should be listed there...

          I've tried that and it isn't there. I am using the 'professional' edition - do you know if the data environemnt comes with this edition please?

          I want to use the 'data report', which is available but it doesn't seem to work unless the data environemtn is installed first - there's no way to connect the report to the database as the dropdown menu in the datareport doesn't work.

          help!

              I have the professional version as well. I just fetched Google and found nothing. I would visit microsoft's kb to see what the deal is there. Sounds like you should be okay seeing it as I am...

                  you should add it first to Project Components (CTRL-T), click the tab Designer and look for Data Environment.
