Do you mean pass arguments to functions. Yes both byval and byRef take place in VB.

no,its not about passing arguments to functions
do u know we can receive arguments in main function, which are passed when an application is executed.(we receive as argc and argv in C)

If you're referring to command-line arguments, look for them in
Command$
. (Actually, I think the $ is optional these days.)
