Database Calculations in VB 2005

Hi

Have a problem with calculations!!!

In my Database i need to make the following calculation

Count_id , Loc_id , Make , Year_1999 , Year_2003
1 , SSF , Dog , 55 , 133
2 , SSF , Cat , 21 , 11
3 , DDR , Mouse , 5 , 2
4 , DDR , Rabbit , 102 , 38

(Cant get the columns to show properly)

Firstly i need to calculate trend for each Make Year2003-Year1999/Year2003
This i can just about manage in VB

However next i have to show a calculation for a specific Loc_id (all SSF's)
It would be Year1999 added together for SSF then Year2003 added together for SSF. I will then be the total of SSF Year2003-Year1999/Year2003.

How do i do this in VB 2005.
