Can anyone explain what is dtp ctrl and what is purpose of this control

If u are talking if DTPicker
it is used to select date/time in prescribed format.
User can use several predifined or customized format for date and time.
Its a great time saver when u need to any date or time,u dont have to validate contols .

DTP refers to the date picker control. It allows user to select the date in defined format.
