    Unwanted characters in file.

    Hi
I've created a text file with records from the tables in access to a file using PUT function. There are few line in the file that are coming with "NUL(^@=0=0 x0)" shown as blank spaces,at the start which makes my file go out of format. Can someone please help me on this? I don't want these characters to be on the file. Does this have any thing to do with the length of the string defined.

    Regards,
    Vinay

Hi. You will need to post the code you have been using. That is the fastest way to a solution
    Thanks

You could trim the extra characters off.

Are you using a "real" string, or a variant? Perhaps the extra info in a variant which identifies it as a string is coming out (this is just a wild guess).

However, as willakawill said, you really need to show us the code if we're to be much help. (Also, what version of VB are you using?)

That's true. If you can't solve a problem, you can just accept it and work around it. However, I would recommend you consider that only as a last resort.
