    how do i change the mouse icon in my program?

    how do i change the mouse icon in my program? i dont want it to be one of the ones already on my computer. how do i make a new icon. can it be any picture be an icon? do i need a special program to make a mouse icon?

    thanks... this will help me alot

    If you're using VB6, then just set the Screen.MousePoi nter property. That sets it for your whole application, but you can also set this property on specific forms if you wish.

      There are loads of free mouse pointer cursors and icon creators out there. Generally my first stop for that kind of stuff is Download.com.

        Good advice. Just remember, bagstoper, that what you're looking for is a mouse pointer (or alternatively, a cursor), not a mouse icon. Otherwise you may have trouble finding what you want.

        You can easily switch mousepointer by the method I described earlier, but as balid pointed out, there are lots of tools out there to provide you with a wider selection and more creativity.
