Unable to display intermediate results during loop

I am trying to display directory paths as I cycle through a recursive process of sub directories into a label for visual confirmation to the user. The process works fine but the whole process seems to freeze the form until it walks through all the directories. The only directory that displays is the last one it processes. I tried refreshing the label but that does not work.

The most obvious solution seems to be involving a message box to display each sub directory as it is passed, and getting the user to check each one individually. if that's too time consuming and you're looking for a better solution then listing each sub directory at the end of the process and having the user check them then seems more time effective.

    Try:

Msgbox "ok?" & subdirectory variable , vbYesNoCancel, Title

though i don't remember off hand how to change the behaviour of the buttons.

second option is to make a userform, list the sub directories in a listbox get the user to check them over using a commandbutton to change or ok them.

this'll add each sub directory to the listbox in userform1 each time it loops.

    UserForm1.ListB ox1.AddItem (subdirectory variable)

    hope that helps

      hi
you may put a object.refresh and/or doevents within your loop
