Crystal report linking in VB6

I'm trying to generate report within my visual basic 6 project. My problem is that i need just some specific records on the report at any given time. I create the recordset within the codes behind the viewer form, it works perfectly. Now if i pass this recordset to the report it gives me errors. Some common once being
Do not have permission or Subscript out of range. Mean while there is no single array within my codes

if crystal report control name is cr write this code.

cr.reportfilena me = "name of ur report file"
cr.action =1

that's all. it should work.
