Datagrid Problem

i m using Vb.6.0 n Datagrid.when i make the focus on ant cell of the datagrid the cell is automaticlly get selected but i want to remove the selection of the text in the cell by using the keyboard or vb code and want to append some more text in the selected cell.so please give me the solution how to remove the selection of celltext and make a cursor position at the end of the text in the cell.

i am not familiar with datagrid, but if you can manipulate each cell like a text box (which i do know how to use) then you can use:
selstart = len(<cell>.text )
that would set the cursor at the end.
when you say the cell gets selected, is the text highlighted (for editing) or is the cell itself selected?
if you want a keyboard solution, try pressing f2 when your cell is selected. in excel it moves the selection inside the cell and that is standard for spreadsheet and grid applications.
but, i could be completely wrong.
