    What could be going on?

    In November I bought VB 2005 express from amazon. When attempting to install it the program installing said that it was Visual Web developer 2005 and not VB 2005, however all the packaging was correct. So i wrote microsoft thinking this was an error they'd like to know about but they said it was amazon's responsibility. Okay so I then wrote to amazon who replaced my VB 2005 within a few days. The same thing is happening with this one. I don't know what to do and I have written and searched and asked everyone I know if maybe I'm the one making the mistake or if this is a manufacturing problem. I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum and if it is does anyone else know where i should post or know what I should do. I would hate to reorder this again from amazon and the same thing occur. Maybe some one in Microsoft should know about this manufacturing mistake. Please help.

    Have you looked carefully at what was installed, Visual Interdev is part of the Microsoft Visual Developer suite of packages that include

    Visual Basic
    Visual C++
    Visual J++
    Visual Fox Pro
    Visual Interdev

    I guess that Visual Interdev (or a demo or limited version) could come with Visual Basic.

    If your are happy that the source of the software is reliable then let the install complete and see what is installed and what you get when you run it up.
