    VB5 in NT?

I have heard that projects developed in VB5 may work well in Win 98 or 2000
but sometimes have problems in NT. Is this so and how can this be avoided?
    TIA
    Don

develop, or at the very least test extensively, using NT

the most common issue is API calls that are different between Win9x
and NT or in which win9x ignores some parameters that NT verifies.
Between 2000 and NT there are fewer problems unless you are using
    2000-only API calls.

That's like asking if a hammer doesn't work in the Empire State Building.

Not true. It depends on what is being coded. NT doesn't allow you to acces
hardware level addresses like Win9x allow. There are several API's which
will not work under NT. It all depends on the programmer and how thorough a
      project is planned.
