    VB6 and MSDN problem

Hi folks, I'm hoping someone has a suggestion to solve this.

I've been using Visual Studio Enterprise 6 (just the VB6 part) on my
Dell laptop (PIII-700) running Win Me for a few years now, with the
original MSDN library installed. No problems.

Anyway, now the laptop is staying at work, so I needed to install
everything on my home PC, which runs Win 2000 Pro. Installed VS6 okay.
Then installed MSDN, the original version out of the box, as I had on
    the laptop. Installed okay.

However, when I use MSDN - either standalone or from within VB6 - all
the links are missing. The ones I mean are those at the top of the
page saying "See Also", "Examples", "Properties ", "Methods" et cetera.
Links in the main body are also missing. Where links should be there
are small squares with a dash in them (-). This makes MSDN next to
    useless.

I also have MSDN from Jan 2001 and Oct 2001, so I tried uninstalling
each version and installing another. All installed okay but had the
same problem. I tried the original MSDN on my son's PC running Win Me
and the links were all working. Both PCs are using IE 5.5, and I can't
see any difference in the set up. I'm logged on as the adminitrator
for Win 2000, and I have no other problems with it, IE workes fine,
    etc.

This has me tearing my hair out as I'm spending valuable VB time
messing about trying to get MSDN working. Hopefully I've missed
something simple and someone will point it out! Any help would be very
    much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

    Regards
    Jimmy

    Re: VB6 and MSDN problem

have you tried to install MSDN with the option "All on the Hard Disk" or
    something like that ?
I use it for years with W2000 and have no problem...
