Hi All,

I live in Australia and am interested in learning visual basic (never done
any programming before). Can anyone suggest where I should start?

So do I.
That needn't have been mentioned - we're not a backwards country!!
Start with your pocket (enough money)
Go to your nearest VB distributor, or ask at local PC store
(details could also be in local paper, internet, magazine etc.)
Buy it.
Go to nearest TAFE (school, uni etc.) offering VB course
Join it.

I could make another suggestion (someone probably will)
but you may take it the wrong way ;-<
