Which version of VB? What database engine are you using?

VB 6.0 SP5 fixes one possible cause of this error:

If you're using Jet 4.0, you may need to update that as well:

I think I know what the problem was. When I installed Visual Basic on my
computer, I may or may not have updated it with the Visual Studio SP 4. I
believe I may have. And When I went and check on the reason for the error,
it may have been because of SP 4. But I'm go to go; I downloaded SP 5.
