We need more information in order to help you. Are you trying to create an image recognition program? Are you just trying to change the file extension? What logic turns an image into a text file and what is the specific problem you are encountering along the way?

You've got to find some way to do OCR (Optical Charachter Recognition) on your image. Quite expensive and not very easy to implement...
