    installing multiple versions

I have VB6 installed on my PC & have just downloaded Express 2008 on
my sons. After having a look at Express 2008 I would like to download
it onto my PC but don't want to remove VB6 will there be any conflict?

I realise that projects written in VB6 need to be converted to Express
but I just want both programs on my PC to be used independantly of
each other does anyone know of any problems?

I don't think that there should be any problem with having Visual Studio
6 and Visual Studio Express 2008 installed side by side.

I haven't tried that specific combination, but I had Visual Studio 2005
and Visual Studio 2008 installed side by side until recently. I have
tried other combinations also without problems, but I can't remember
    exactly which.

      I have installed VB6, VS2003, VS2005 and VS2008 (all "full" versions, not
Express versions, however) on a single machine and all co-existed and worked
      perfectly without any conflicts.

I think you should be fine...

        Re: installing multiple versions

Just to add to oeone's comments,

When I installed vs2008prof, it installed a copy of vs2005 as well. They
        each are independant.
So I shouldnt see an issue why you would have an issue with vb6 as well.
