    Interface through the parallel port

Hi - I'm trying to read data from my parallel port. Does anyone know
how I can write a program in vb6 to read pin 6 of my parallel port.
All I need to know is whether there is an incoming signal - input
    only.
    Thanks in advance
    Pete

    Pete,

You might have more luck finding an answer in a VB6 newsgroup. This is a
    VB.Net newsgroup.

However, here is a web site with a ton of stuff on parallel port programming:

      Kerry

      I disagree.

ALL VB NEWSGROUPS ARE THE SAME FAMILY; MS SHOULD NOT HAVE RENAMED THEM
      FOR THE .NET RELEASE.

THE DAMN PRODUCT ISNT EVEN CALLED DOTNET ANYMORE

      Pete-

I would reccomend looking at www.freevbcode.com
