Where is a good internet site to learn about DirectX, i.e., what it is, what
it does, and how to use it with VB.Net.

Also, is it faster (or even possible) to draw to a bitmap with Direct X or
with using GDI.

Hi Dennis,

Maybe I can help you this time. ;-) I've been going to another news group on
Managed DirectX (Or MDX) and something I've just learned myself today is
that MDX is no longer being worked on, will no be upgraded and a new XNA
Framework (Beta) is avaiable and will be replacing the MDX. I was given this
link to start looking into it.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/directx/xna/migration/ The way I see it is that
the XNA will be more for game programming. Don't know if this helps but
there it is. :-)
