List View in Vb.net 2003

Hi All,

I want to select the item which was newly added to listView.

For this I tried with below code but no success.
lstVSummaryStat us.Items(lstVSu mmaryStatus.Ite ms.Count - 1).Selected = True
lstVSummaryStat us.Items(lstVSu mmaryStatus.Ite ms.Count - 1).Focused = True

I want to see the newly added item when scrolling is occuered.
Please help me thanks in advance.
