    Moving folders using a service

    Hi All,

    I have been struggling for 2 days with a problem I can't resolve. I have a
service running in VB.net (on W2K3) which automatically moves files between
two locations. It uses the FileSystemObjec t (FSO) and has been running for
about 10 months without error - it uses fso.movefile.

The users now want to move folders. I have expanded the same service to use
fso.movefolders and now it returns "permission denied" whenever I attempt to
use UNC paths - even if I try to move between two folders on my local
    machine.

The movefile works well. I tried to use the shell folder object as well.
Problem is that services don't have a shell (doh!). I don't really want to
run ROBOCOPY or something in the background (not sure how a service would
    handle that).

Does anyone have any other techniques for performing this?
