Hello,
Im not one for conspiracy theories but have Microsoft deliberately put some
kind of delay into the loading of local documentation for VS.Net and the
..Net platform?
I can google the answers i want faster than i can get the docs to load
locally. This is not the result of the queries/keywords i am using either, I
simply mean the time it takes the docs to load both from scratch and then
even when switching between documentation pages. I have a highly spec'd
machine 3.1GHz 2GB of DDR ram etc with truckloads of free harddisk capacity.
Are they (Microsoft) trying to encourage us to use the online docs so as to
centralise the platform documentation repositories? Probably not but if
anyone has any ideas as to why it is twice as slow as locally, I'd
appreciate hearing them. Note: it matters not whether i load the help
internally/externally of VS.net.
TIA
Richard
