How to Import data from SQL to Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90)

I am working on a Sage 100 (MAS 90) Visual Integrator Job and trying to upload data from SQL.

I created the ODBC connection, but I can't pick the database. Does anyone know how to select the SQL database once the ODBC connection is connected to the the SQL Server?

    Hey everyone!

I came across this post and I can totally relate to the situation. Working with Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90) and trying to import data from SQL can sometimes be a bit tricky. I've had my fair share of struggles with it too.

Regarding the issue of not being able to pick the database after establishing the ODBC connection, here's a possible solution. Once your ODBC connection is connected to the SQL Server, you can try the following steps:

    1. Open the Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90) Visual Integrator Job.
    2. Navigate to the "Import" or "Data Source" section within the Visual Integrator.
    3. Look for an option or dropdown menu that allows you to select the database source.
    4. Click on that dropdown menu and you should see a list of available databases connected through the ODBC connection.
    5. Choose the appropriate SQL database from the list.

If you still can't find the option to select the database, it might be worth checking your ODBC connection settings or consulting the Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90) documentation for specific instructions or click here: https://andersenlab.com/services/erp-development

Hang in there! With a bit of patience and some troubleshooting , you'll be able to successfully import data from SQL to Sage 100 ERP. Good luck!

When working with Sage 100 (MAS 90) and Visual Integrator to upload data from SQL, after setting up the ODBC connection, you should be able to select the SQL database by configuring the Data Source Name (DSN) properly. Ensure your DSN is set up to point to the correct SQL server and database. You might need to go through the ODBC Data Source Administrator to configure this. If you're still having trouble, checking the connection settings or testing the DSN with another tool can help pinpoint the issue.

Additionally, using ERP software like Sage 100 can sometimes have specific requirements for database connectivity, so referring to the official Sage documentation or support might provide further insights.
