    How can I edit .rpt (crystal report) file?

    Hello everyone!

    I'm from Bhutan & m bit helpless. So, can anyone could help me please.

    I have a ".rpt" file named as BatchSummaryRep ort & it contains some additional unwanted reports on it which i want to edit. For that, back end I'm using SQL Server Visual Express 2005.

    Also, I don't have any software to edit it. so, is there any free software to download & use it for this.

    I have downloaded a Crystal Report Software & tried but it could made no sense.

    so, please help me....

    Alas, you will need crystal reports designer
    Do you have any colleagues that have it?
    The only other solution is to rewrite the report the way you want it using some other program

      Thanks for the help. But I don't have any colleagues with crystal report designer software, so can you find me any open source please?

        There is no open source version.

        Visual studio (6 and .net) comes with a version of crystal (different versions), but I cannot tell if it is compatible with the report that you have

          Hi gpl!
          Thanks a lot but my problem still exists.I have downloaded "crystl32", so will it work? Also, I have "Visual Studio 2005 & vb.net" and if I install that software and run .rpt file then what do you say? waiting for your reply....
