Install new instance...

Can anyone please tell me a simple command line statement to install a new
instance of sql 2k5? I've tried

<path>\setup.ex t instancename=My Instance

I've seen examples on microsoft's site, but when I try them I get Invalid
Switch errors.

What options did you try and what error was reported? The following article
has description of the command line options that need to be provided:

Here is a copy/paste for the options for new instance with all options:
Start /wait <CD or DVD Drive>\servers\ setup.exe /qb
INSTANCENAME=<I nstanceNameADDL OCAL=All PIDKEY=<pidkey value with no "-">
SAPWD=<StrongPa sswordSQLACCOUN T=<domain\user>
SQLPASSWORD=<Do mainUserPasswor dAGTACCOUNT=<do main\user>
AGTPASSWORD=<Do mainUserPasswor dSQLBROWSERACCO UNT=<domain\use r>
SQLBROWSERPASSW ORD=<DomainUser Password>

I find it easier to use an INI file with the /settings switch. The above
article describes how to do that, and on the SQL Server installation media
there is a template.ini file (I believe under both the Server and the Tools
