DUMP transaction LOG

Hi

I have the following message on my server SQL 6.5 (the application log file is full), so I am going to use the following command

DUMP TRANSACTION MyDB WITH NO_LOG

Should I need to DUMP DATABASE immediately after doing dump for the transaction log? if yes please tell me why?
