Running access 2000 ap on sql 2005 express edition

HI

I have inherited the maintenance of an access2000 application which in production links to sql server 2000 tables.
The code snip below works fine on sql server 2000 using ODBC but fails when i run on server 2005 on my own machine.
Help very much appreciated!!
