How to get a job current_status in Stored Procedure

I've tried to get job status wheter its success or no so I can put my
coding in each condition.[color=blue]
>From books online I've read about sp_help_job but I'm still confused[/color]
how to use it..
Suppose If I run Job A, I want to know the status of Job A is already
finished or no...
