Beginner Advice?

Hello,
I am a beginner to python, I need some advice on how to learn the basics of creating a complex code or software. I Recently created a very simple calculator. I want to learn some more on how to create a screen sharing software? Any basic advice provided will be greatly appreciated. If anyone can give me a heads up on what minor or major problems can occur in the future, and how I can prevent them? Again, it will be greatly appreciated if any advice was given.
