You can see the list at the uri given below the post at top.

It is stated there that:
"The ratings are based on the world-wide availability of skilled engineers, courses and third party vendors. The popular search engines Google, MSN, and Yahoo! are used to calculate the ratings."

The list does not provide us a definite list of popularity of programming languages. On the other hand, popularity does not count for me and for the ones that do not carry empty and useless baloons over their shoulders instead of highly useful human head...

And of course the popularity of Ruby is probably increasing because it is a well sold product like Java. Creating something is something, selling it is another thing...

Yeah, you have a point. But since this is the Python Forum, I'm not too worried about starting any wars. I was nervous the day I posted that in one of the general topic forums, though. It went over much better than I expected.
