can ne1 tell me advantage of postgresql over ms access and limitation of postgresql over MS access.

This is like asking "What is the advantage of BMW over Fiat?"
The only difference is that BMW is costly, and PostgreSQL comes for free.

However, for some people, or for a certain purpose MS Access is the right choice.
You really should start with the question what do you need this database for, and how do you intend to use it.
