'Pegasus' has been recommended on more than one occasion that I've seen
as "the windoze mail server". I haven't used it myself, but might be
    worth a look =)

      Hello, Chris!

I recommend ArGoSoft MailServer. It is very small, intuitive and best of all
      freeware!

Pegasus is an MUA - there is a companion package Mercury which does what
is wanted. www.pmail.com for more info.

        Cheers

Mercury is what I use. Works very well, doesn't hog memory or anything.

I tried mercury but could not get it to work correctly..I will try it more
            2day
            I keep getting this error:
Temporary error 249 (temporary MX resolution error) resolving 'attbi.com'.
I think it is because I dont have the local domains part of the core config
set correctly...I just havent figured out what to do about it
