Auto genered numbers and check transaction

Hi all,

I have my own website at the moment from which I am going to sell my own software. But can anyone tell me how to write a script that checks automatically can generate a number (not just 1 or 2 but for example: 68434834). And which can check if the payment is succeed. And if it is succeeded it needs to get automatically the software so the buyer can download it immediatly, without needing to wait until I send it to him or her.
