I've been using a PHP Twitter library for months now to automatically repost news that I post on my site, to my site's Twitter. Recently though this stopped working, and I get an error back from Twitter stating:
"Basic authentication is not supported"
This wasn't a problem until recently, but Twitter changed their API making it so hat I will have to use OAuth. I'm not sure ho the whole thing works though, all I want to do is repost news from my site to my Twitter (I want it done automatically, as I post the news to the site.)
Since I'm obviously gonna have to switch over to using OAuth, does anyone know anything about it that can lend me a hand, I've got no experience whatsoever with it.
As a side note, I suppose it isn't a terrible thing, it gives me the opportunity to expand the Twitter offerings at my site, possibly allowing user's to opt in to have their forum posts tweeted for them. Still, gotta jump that first hurdle.
