    Problem with yahoo messenger

    Hi,


    i am embedding yahoo messenger in my website.In Part of that i have to check the if the yahoo messenger in our local system is installed or not by using php code. That means if any one open my application it will first check the yahoo messenger is installed in their system . How can i proceed for that application .Any one please help me.Its very urgent

    You can't.

    PHP, and other web-technologies, are deliberately denied access to the client's computer, outside the very limited access the browser allows them, as a security measure.

    Not to mention the fact that PHP operates server-side in a typical website, and therefore has no access to the client-side whatsoever.

    If you need to access the client's computer, you need a client application, like a Java applet or (dare I say it) ActiveX. Flash might also be able to do that.
