    podcast player

    hi ng,

    I'm currently looking for a free podcast-player (playing mp3 and mpg would
    be sufficient) to integrate into my website, is there any free version
    available
    (e.g. implemented in PHP)? Is it the right way in general to try to
    integrate an external player or is there a possibility to apply the player
    installed on the client machine for this job?

      If you want to play mp3s on the server, this is the right way to go. If
      you want the user to hear it, though, it needs to be installed on the
      client machine.

      And BTW - this has nothing to do with PHP. Trying to wrap it around
      "i.e. implemented in PHP" doesn't make it a PHP question.

          Yes - you'll need to look for a flash-based system most likely that
          will play mp3s - I know that there are flash players out there that
          can take a podcast feed and allow the user to navigate between shows,
          play the shows, etc.
