    difference and future postgresql mysql

why mysql is more diffused than postgresql?
Postgresql licence is really free more than mysql,
but why postgresql is not much diffusing?
the future will be of mysql?

I myself perfer postgresql, however ISP's tend to perfer mysql, PHP in
turn generally considers mysql to be "the standard", so, you see a lot
    of stuff written for mysql.

This cycle sort of makes it difficult for other software to get into the
picture. I've heard that postgresql has had some performance issues and
bugs in the past. (although I've generally been happier with it)
