Hi,

start by looking at the basics, look at some tutorials etc.
You've got a long way to go before you can implements a search engine using mysql.

As suggested above there are some great tutorials out there as well as several articles within this website under the HowTos that you should look over. The other suggestion that I would give you is to go look at your local book store. There are several books that are written specifically for PHP and MySQL that may help you as well.
