    sundomains and positioning

    hi
    i have a wesite www.example.com
now i have my catalog of files

    root:
es/ - (spanish version of the website
    de/ - (german version)
    fr/ - (french version)
    img/
    index.htm
    ....adn other files

    now my question

is is better to ad these version to catalogs and search engines as

    or maybe

www.es.example.com (it would direct to root:/es/)
www.de.example.com (it would direct to root:/de/)
www.fr.example.com (it would direct to root:/fr/)

    or other question
if i use these subdomains is it better to make three separate roots for all
the languages and for english the forth (now the main)
or better to have catalog like es/, de/, fr/ in the root?

    best regards
    ambroz

How is this relevent to PHP?

Don't do a redirect on your homepage - most search engines wont index
    the redirected page.

Language negotiation is probably the best way to do this.
http://ppewww.ph.gla.ac.uk/~flavell/www/lang-neg.html is a good set of
pages to explain this - it's better handled by the server rather
      than PHP, though, if possible.
